Sung by Mika Singh, Geetha Madhuri and D Velmurugan, the number is lyricised by Ramajogaiah Sastry
Waltair Veerayya is only a couple of days away from its theatrical release across the globe. Chiranjeevi is as enthusiastic as ever, promoting the Bobby Kolli directorial at every given platform and opportunity across Telugu states. Giving a final push to the film’s promotions, the fifth and the final number, a duet from the mass entertainer, Neekemo Andamekkuva, was launched at an engineering college in Hyderabad today.
Neekmo Anadamekkuva is a typical 90s styled duet where the male protagonist goes all out to woo his romantic interest and conveys his love through a bunch of catchy phrases set to a foot-tapping tune. Mika Singh, Geetha Madhuri and D Velmurugan have crooned for the number, written by Ramajogaiah Sastry. The number, composed by Devi Sri Prasad, was shot in Toulouse in December 2022.
The fun number gets an interesting folksy twist with the opening lines, ‘Vayyaranga Naduchu Kocchestande..Gundellona Vanuku Puttethandhe..Chusthu Unte Control Pothande..Yedanunchi Start Cheyyalo Theliyaka Confuse Ayithande..’ leading listeners to the hookline ‘Neekemo Andamekkuva.’ The number is instantly catchy but what pleases you more is Chiranjeevi’s enthusiasm.
He is at his best trying to be a diehard romantic, praising his lady love to the skies, with his terrific histrionics and appealing expressions. Chiranjeevi, appearing in a series of flashy costumes, lets himself loose, enjoys grooving to choreographer Sekhar master’s moves while Shruti complements the veteran with her coy responses amidst picturesque locations.
Ravi Teja, Catherine Tresa, Bobby Simha, Prakash Raj, Nasser, Urvashi Rautela and others too play important roles in the film produced by Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under Mythri Movie Makers. AS Prakash is the production designer and Niranjan Devaramane is the editor for the film which has cinematography by Arthur A Wilson.
