Pratik Gandhi is all set to return to OTTs with a Gujarati web series titled Vitthal Teedi, in which he will be playing a master gambler. His new character has shades of his breakout role as Harshad Mehta from last year’s Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. Both men come from humble backgrounds with the aim of joining the big league.

While Vitthal Teedi is scheduled to release on May 7 on a new OTT platform named Oho Gujarati, there are several films featuring Pratik that should keep you busy. Not many know that the Gujarati actor had been part of several shows before his breakout role and all of these hinted at the amazing talent he has.

Dhunki (Amazon Prime Video)

This Gujarati film is all about the love for food. Nikunj’s (Pratik) never-ending dilemma between a secure IT job and his dream to pursue his passion of being a chef will be relatable to the youth. The film opened to positive reviews for its performances and direction.

Wrong Side Raju (Amazon Prime Video)

The Marathi film is inspired by the 2013 hit-and-run case in Ahmedabad. The film revolves around a driver named Raju (Pratik) who gets framed for a car accident and a series of unexpected things keep happening to him. Shaily (Kimberley Louisa McBeath) plays Raju’s love interest in the movie.

Love Ni Bhavai (Netflix)

Based on the 2008 Hollywood film The Accidental Husband, Love Ni Bhavai revolves around a love triangle between a much-loved city RJ named Antara, entrepreneur Aaditya (Pratik) and a genius named Sagar (Malhar Thakar). The film’s music by Sachin-Jigar was highly praised.

Luv Ni Love Storys (Amazon Prime Video)

The story revolves around a charming man Luv (Pratik), whose faith in love is tested as he goes through various relationships in different stages of his life. This rom-com, directed by Durgesh Tanna, also has Shraddha Dangar, Deeksha Joshi and Vyoma Nandi.

Ventilator (Amazon Prime Video)

Ventilator narrates the travails of a family whose patriarch Gajju Kaka falls into a coma and is put on life support. Starring more than 100 actors, including Ashutosh Gowariker, Jitendra Joshi, Pratik and Jackie Shroff, the film bagged three awards at the 64th National Film Awards including Best Director for Rajesh Mapuskar.
