The veteran filmmaker is making his acting debut with his protege Gowri Ronanki's Pelli SandaD
Director K Raghavendra Rao is extremely enthusiastic to test new waters and unleash his potential as an actor, even as he's inching close to 80. The veteran filmmaker, who has directed nearly 110 films in his five-decade stint in the industry, is slated to make his acting debut with Pelli SandaD, starring Roshann and Sree Leela, the sequel to his 1996 superhit Pelli Sandadi. Even before Pelli SandaD gets to hit theatres, K Raghavendra Rao has his hands full as an actor with multiple commitments.
While it's confirmed that a film directed by Tanikella Bharani starring K Raghavendra Rao will go on floors immediately, a report in Telugu360.com confirms that he has finalised a film with director VN Aditya as well. Reportedly, the film's scripting is also complete and the pre-production work has already begun. It's more interesting that Raghavendra Rao will be playing the lead role in the film. And that's not all, he is also considering directing a film in between his acting commitments, contrary to the belief that he has called it a day as a director.
K Raghavendra Rao's film with Tanikella Bharani will have four female leads and has completed scripting long time ago. The shoot is expected to commence very soon. He's not only an actor in Pelli SandaD, but is also a directorial supervisor. His last film as a director was Om Namo Venkatesaya, a part-fictional biopic on saint Hathiram Baba, starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anushka, Pragya Jaiswal and others in key roles. Movie lovers will be curious about the genre he's about to handle for his upcoming directorial.
