The shooting for Ace has been wrapped up and features an ensemble cast including Rukmini Vasanth, Yogi Babu and others
Actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is one of the most versatile actors, will be teaming up with director Aarumuga Kumar for VJS 51. The makers, on Friday, unveiled the title of the film as Ace. Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth will be playing the female lead in the film.
The makers of VJS 51 revealed the title to be Ace. The title teaser video introduces the characters one by one in a graphical illustration manner. Paired with quirky and fast-paced music, we are finally revealed to Vijay Sethupathi with the ace card from playing cards, a pipe and a couple of dice.
The upcoming film is directed by Aarumugakumar, who earlier made the 2018 Tamil film Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren, starring actors Vijay Sethupathi, Gautam Karthik, Gayathrie and others. The shooting for Ace has been wrapped up. Rukmini Vasanth, who shot to fame with the Kannada duology Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, will be making her Tamil debut with Ace. It is to be noted that she is also working alongside actor Sivakarthikeyan in the upcoming AR Murugadoss directorial. Ace is bankrolled by 7Cs Entertaintment, which had earlier produced the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Laabam.
Apart from Vijay Sethupathi and Rukmini Vasanth, Ace also stars actors Yogi Babu, Divya Pillai, Babloo Prithveeraj, B.S. Avinash, Muthu Kumar, Raj Kumar, Denes Kumar, Alvin Martin, Priscilla Nair, Jasper Supayah, Kaarthick Jay, Nagulan, Zahrinaris and others.

The technical crew consists of Karan Bahadur Rawat handling the cinematography and Justin Prabhakaran scoring the music for the film. Production design is handled by A.K. Muthu, and the editing is done by R. Govindaraj. The film has been completely shot across various areas of Malaysia. Currently, the postproduction work is going on at a brisk pace. A release date for Ace is yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in Sriram Raghavan's crime romantic comedy Merry Christmas, which released earlier this year. The actor also has several films in the line-up, including Gandhi Talks, Maharaja and Viduthalai Part 2.
