Director Kamal made a comeback with Vivekanandan Viralaanu after a gap of five years. He has also penned the screenplay for the film. Vivekanandan, the main character, conducts two lives while stoking his chauvinist ego, fears, and addiction to sex. The women in his life take extreme measures to discipline him because they can no longer put up with his crimes and suffer in silence. The main plot points are if they succeed and whether Vivekanandan will have to suffer the just punishment.

The review on OTTplay claims that the filmmakers have done a good job of conveying two different facets of a societal issue in this movie: marital rape and consentless sex. They have also sufficiently covered the need of diagnosing psychological problems, as well as the topic of moral policing, which is very relevant in modern times. Ultimately, Vivekanandan Viralaanu had a good chance to compellingly examine a few relevant subjects, but the screenwriters were unable to provide the script with a strong framework.

Nediyath Naseeb and P S Shelli Raj bankrolled the film under the banner of Nediyath Productions. Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames distributed the movie in theatres. Remya Suresh, Grace Antony, Swasika, Mereena Michael, Johnny Antony, Maala Parvathy, Manju Pillai, Neena Kurup, Aadya, Siddhartha Siva, Sarath Sabha, Pramod Veliyanad, and Anusha Mohan are among the supporting cast.
