The Kashmir Files is now slated to release on March 11 as scheduled.
Vivek Agnihotri has unveiled the second trailer from his upcoming movie, The Kashmir Files. The move comes hours after Bombay High Court dismissed plea to stop his movie’s release in theatres. The Kashmir Files is now slated to release on March 11, as scheduled previously.
The latest trailer appears to be a glimpse into a song from the movie. Titled ‘Hum Dekhenge’, this track sees a movement after the Kashmir Hindus exodus.
Watch the new trailer here:
The 1.30 minute trailer shows glimpses of Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Atul Srivastava, Prakash Belawadi, Puneet Issar and Mrinal Kulkarni. They all play pivotal roles in the movie.
From the glimpse of it, Puneet, Atul, Mrinal, Mithun, Anupam and Prakash’s characters are either a part of the same family or are close friends who are like family. The trailer also hints at paying a tribute to those who became victims during the exodus.
The Kashmir Files has been received widely but the movie also faces tremendous roadblocks. From mainstream Bollywood not supporting the movie to a plea to stop the release of the film, Vivek Agnihotri’s film has been constantly in news for both the wrong and right reasons.
While there are attempts at stopping the film from releasing in theatres, there is also news that Kashmiri Hindus broke down while watching the movie during screenings held at various places in and outside of India. A section of the society is also lauding the film for attempting to show the exact truth of what happened in Kashmir that haunts the place even today.
Produced by Pallavi and Vivek, The Kashmir Files is finally slated for a release. It will be available in theatres soon. The OTT release for this movie is not yet finalized.
