Vishal's Laththi to be postponed; here's when makers are planning to release the action flick in theatres

Vishal's Laththi has been hitting the headlines quite often in recent times. The actor suffered injury more than a couple of times during its shooting; pictures and videos from the set have been going viral. The movie directed by A Vinoth Kumar was supposed to release on August 12.

With a month left for its release, the team has now come up with a news which is sure to leave fans of the actor disappointed. We hear that the release of the film has been postponed owing to the actor's back-to-back injury and pending VFX works.

The makers are now planning to release the project on September 15. Jayam Ravi's Agilan and Silambarasan's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu had already announced their releases on the same date earlier. If everything goes well, Kollywood will witness a big clash in the second week of September.

Last year, Vishal's Enemy and Silambarasan's Maanaadu were expected to have a clash, but the latter got postponed by a couple of weeks due to financial issues. Laththi has been jointly bankrolled by actors Ramana and Nanda under Rana Productions. Sunainaa plays the leading lady in the movie which has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The movie's story revolves around a police constable who sets out to rescue his son after he learns that a few goons have kidnapped the young boy. Vishal plays the father of a kid for the first time in his career, while Sunainaa, who had teamed up with him in Samar many years ago, will be seen essaying his wife's role.

A few action scenes choreographed by Peter Hein will be the prime highlight of the project; stunt sequences are often interesting to watch in Vishal-starrers. We hear that action sequences in Laththi will set a new benchmark in the actor's career.
