Tatsama Tadbhava is Meghana Raj Sarja first onscreen outing since losing her husband, Chiranjeevi Sarja in 2020 and subsequent motherhood.
When Meghana Raj Sarja tragically lost her husband Chiranjeevi Sarja, she was five-months pregnant with their firstborn, and looking forward to welcoming their bundle of joy together. In the three years since, her close circle, including her family and friends, like Pannaga Bharana and Prajwal Devaraj, among others, stood by her as she navigated her way back to how life was before tragedy struck her. From juggling primary care of her son Raayan Raj Sarja and her judging duties on a television show, Meghana then went on to announce her return to cinema, with a film backed by Chiranjeevi’s and her close pal, Pannaga.
Directed by newcomer Vishal Atreya, the film, called Tatsama Tadbhava, which has a tagline that reads, ‘The Confession’, is a thriller, which according to the filmmaker, transpires entirely through the investigation of the crime. The film, as per the trailer , follows the case of a missing person, in this case, protagonist Arika’s (Meghana) husband, which is being handled by police officer Arvind Ashwatthama (Prajwal). But what is interesting about it, says the filmmaker, that he has not taken cinematic liberties, and, instead, presented the investigation of a crime as it would unfold in a real case.
“There are suspects and their interrogations. What the officer deduces from what they say and forms a logical conclusion forms the crux of Tatsama Tadbhava,” Vishal said at the trailer launch on Sunday. The filmmaker added that although Prajwal has played cop characters in his career, Arvind Ashwatthama will stand out and be remembered for posterity, because a lot of hard work has gone into researching and presenting the role. “Seeing Prajwal and Meghana together onscreen will be a treat,” he added.
The film, meanwhile, is set to release in theatres on September 15, and will be distributed in Karnataka by KRG Studios. It will be in direct competition with Golden Star Ganesh’s Baanadariyalli at the box office, but should find its own audience as the latter is a love story.
