Advance bookings have started to pick up steam as the release date of Pathaan approaches. The movie is already smashing records for its rapid speed of bookings. Shah Rukh Khan's fans are planning special events to celebrate the day with numerous screenings of the movie. In a recent video, the actor's fans are seen booking out the full theatre in Nagpur for the movie's opening day premiere.
On January 25, Pathaan, Shah Rukh's first major film in more than four years, will be released in theatres. Pre-sales at a few theatres started on January 18 and advance bookings started yesterday (January 20). In a video posted on Thursday, the Shah Rukh fan group Club SRK Nagpur announced that they had booked the full theatre for the movie's 8 a.m. show on the day of its release.
The staff gave them all the tickets in a sizable manila envelope after they informed the shocked theatre ticket workers that they wanted to book the full Audi, as seen on the video. On the envelope were written the day and hour of the show. The fan club's post was captioned, “Booked within seconds : We, The Club SRK booked an entire auditorium for our Pathaan First Day First Show.” Several more actor fans appreciated the endeavour.
Pathaan opening screenings are being held in numerous places by SRK Universe, another actor fan group. On the morning of the 25th, they hope to have 50,000 Shah Rukh fans watch the movie together across India.
One of the biggest numbers for a Hindi film post-pandemic, Pathaan has already sold tickets worth Rs 10 crore on its opening day. When it is released, it is anticipated to break numerous records for advance booking and first-day collections. John Abraham and Deepika Padukone are also featured in the Siddharth Anand movie.
