A viral video shot in Los Angeles showed hundreds of fans forming long lines as they await to watch the special screening of RRR at the Theatre at Ace Hotel. The video showed that there was an overwhelming number of non-Indian-origin people in the audience.

According to the filmmakers, 1647 fans saw the special screening on the eve of the film's highly-published re-release in the US. Following the special screening, there was also a Q&A session with the film's main cast and crew. Director SS Rajamouli, film's lead Ram Charan, composer MM Keeravani, and cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar were in attendance.

Before the screening began, Rajamouli addressed the houseful crowd and expressed his happiness for being able to show the film at the Theatre at Ace Hotel, which was more than 100 years old. He said that "RRR was worthy of such a historic theatre."

Rajamouli also gave a brief description of RRR to the fans, who might not have seen this film before. He explained that this film is set against the backdrop of British Rule in India. And he said the film tells the fictional account based on the two Telugu leaders, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju.

The filmmakers are giving a wide re-release for RRR on March 3 across the United States ahead of the upcoming Oscars. The film has been nominated for the Oscars in the Best Orginal Song category. And the filmmakers are leaving no stone unturned to create awareness about RRR in order to improve the film's chances of winning the coveted award.

The Oscars are due to take place on March 12.
