With his film Aattam garnering high marks from audiences for both its gripping story and its performances, Vinay Forrt is off to a strong start in 2024. Perumani, his most recent movie, debuted on theatres today, May 10.

The film centres on the mayhem that three men—a Gulf Malayali, an auto driver, and a film director—cause when they unexpectedly meet a prostitute. Rasheed's friend Nanmarayil Suran, played by Vinay Forrt, is an autorickshaw driver who locks him and the prostitute in an enclosed space from the outside so they can have a good time together.

Vinay portrays CI Farooq Rahman, a police officer who is committed to unravelling the mystery surrounding the involvement of two young women in a cooperative bank robbery case. However, after a number of plot twists and turns, things do not work out well for the officer in the end. The main characters of the film are two girls who open a beauty salon in a small town, but their motivations might not be what they first appear to be.

The story of Harsha, an aspiring musician whose spouse Maya is murdered, is told in Theevram. When the law fails to bring him justice, Harsha finds the murderer, punishing them severely. The film has its own riveting moments and relates its story in a unique way. Vinay plays SI Ramachandran in this thriller, helping CI Alexander with the auto driver kidnapping case.
