The makers of Vilayath Buddha, the upcoming Jayan Nambiar directorial, wished leading Prithviraj Sukumaran for winning the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, with a special poster.

The talented actor won his third Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor, for his performance as Najeeb in the Blessy directorial. The actor-filmmaker's fans and cine-goers are now celebrating his big win on social media, with special posts. Meanwhile, the makers of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming project Vilayath Buddha congratulated the actor, with a new poster of the film.
Recently, Urvasi Theatres, the production banner that bankrolls Prithviraj Sukumaran’s long-awaited film Vilayath Buddha released a new poster. The makers, who revealed the leading man’s new still from the film, congratulated their ‘Double Mohanan’ for the big achievement. The multi-faceted talent, who plays the role of Mohanan in the film, is seen in a different look with tanned skin and ear piercings. Prithviraj Sukumaran thanked team Vilayath Buddha for the surprise, by sharing the poster on his official social media handles.
After wrapping up the ongoing schedules of his third directorial venture L2 Empuraan, Prithviraj Sukumaran was supposed to begin the filming of Salaar 2. However, the Prabhas starrer directed by Prashanth Neel has been delayed indefinitely, due to the busy schedule of the Telugu superstar. Now, the reports suggest that Prithviraj might resume the shooting of Vilayath Buddha instead. The actor is reportedly planning to wrap up the pending portions of the film, in a brief schedule.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing the role of a small-town smuggler in Vilayath Buddha, which is touted to be a drama-thriller. Kottayam Ramesh is playing a pivotal character in the Jayan Nambiar directorial, which is based on GR Indugopan’s famous novel of the same name. The movie stars Shammi Thilakan, Anu Mohan, Priyamvada Krishnan, and others in pivotal roles. Jakes Bejoy composes the music. Aravind S Kashyap is the director of photography. The project is bankrolled by Sandeep Senan, under the banner Urvasi Theatres.
