Vikrant Rona has successfully managed to see through the opening week of its theatrical release and is now on course to make the best of the second week. While the Kannada version of the release remained the top contributor throughout, the Hindi, Telugu, and other dubbed releases too have managed to fetch decent rewards at the box office.

As of midnight of Thursday, August 4, Vikrant Rona's domestic box office collections amounted close to Rs. 76 crores (in gross values) with the Kannada release contributing over Rs. 53 crores over the course of 8 days. The film's net collections are around Rs. 64 crores at the domestic market (as reported by sacnilk.com).

Although the overseas collections are yet to be divulged by a trusted source, few reports have revealed that the film is 'inching' towards the Rs. 150 crores in terms of gross figures.

Vikrant Rona's opening day gross figures of Rs. 17.8 crores make it the third best for a Kannada film in the home state of Karnataka with only James and K.G.F. Chapter 2 ahead. The 3D version of the Kiccha Sudeep starrer has been the clear favorite so far with maximum theatre occupancy accounting for it across the country.

The Hindi dubbed version of Vikrant Rona, along with the Telugu counterpart, had many hopes pinned on it but, unfortunately, the release hasn't brought the expected rich dividends. According to Sacnilk.com, the Telugu dubbed version has collected close to Rs. 6 crores (net), the Hindi release has done better in comparison by earning close to Rs. 8.5 crores for the makers.

The Tamil and Malayalam versions have grossed Rs. 3.22 and Rs. 0.56 crores respectively to date.

Vikrant Rona (Hindi) had the Salman Khan tag attached to it with the Hindi superstar presenting the film in North India but the clout has certainly not translated to numbers. The previous expectations set by the Hindi dubbed release of KGF 2 combined with Sudeep's popularity up north, could have compelled the makers of Vikrant Rona to push for a wider release but the results are slightly underwhelming, to say the least. The Hindi version had to also contend with Ek Villain Returns which stars John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor, and Tara Sutaria.
