Vikrant Massey once worked 110 hours non-stop for a TV show - 'Day shifts were melting into...'

Vikrant Massey recalled the time he shot 110 hours non-stop for a TV show. The actor is currently basking in the success of his film, 12th Fail.

Vikrant Massey was an integral part of the television industry. After his successful career there, the actor decided to venture into films. However, it was only recently that Vikrant rose to fame with a movie called 12th Fail. The actor got his much-awaited due in cinemas because of the Vidhu Vinod Chopra directorial. Amid this, Vikrant recalled his TV days and revealed that he once worked 110 hours for a television show.

When Vikrant Massey shot 110 hours for a TV show

On Unfiltered with Samdish, Vikrant Massey spoke about the time when television was a competitive space where actors had to work for long hours for their shows. "Back in the day, artistes would shoot for 18-20 hours. There came a time when I had to shoot for 110 hours straight without stopping," recalled Vikrant.

The actor said that he was used as a filler in the show after the main actor met with an accident. "Day shifts were melting into night shifts. There was no sense of time," revealed Massey. The 36-year-old actor also mentioned that he quit the medium at a time when he had a Rs 35 lakh per month contract in his hand.

Vikrant Massey's journey in Indian TV

Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey has been an integral part of several Indian TV shows. The actor is best known for the role of Shyam Singh in Balika Vadhu. He also played a pivotal role in Dharam Veer. After he earned fame on TV because of Balika Vadhu, the actor featured in Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and Qubool Hai.

Apart from doing films and television shows, Vikrant has done a lot of projects in the OTT space. The actor was seen in Mirzapur, Criminal Justice, Made In Heaven, and Broken But Beautiful. In his last theatrical release 12th Fail, Vikrant was seen as Manoj Kumar Singh. His upcoming movie is Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, wherein he will essay the role of Rishabh Saxena. The actor will share screen space with Taapsee Pannu in the film.
