Tamil superstar Vikram on Tuesday wrapped up the shooting for his upcoming film, Thangalaan. And he celebrated the completion of the shoot by sharing a few photos of himself with the cast and crew from the film's sets.

In a tweet, Vikram expressed his gratitude, saying, "And it’s a wrap!! What a journey!! Worked with some of the most amazing people & had some of the most evocative experiences as an actor. Was it just 118 working days between the first pic & the last. Thank you, Ranjit, for making us live this dream. Every single day. #thangalaan."

Actress Malavika Mohanan, who is also a part of the film, shared her heartfelt thoughts on Twitter. She said, "A film that came my way in the most unexpected way at an unexpected time, a film that tested my physical, mental and emotional endurance in a way nothing ever has, a film where I got to collaborate with some of the most talented artists, not to mention some of my favourites."

Thangalaan, directed by filmmaker Pa Ranjith, is poised to be his most ambitious project to date, boasting a massive scale and budget. The film unfolds against the backdrop of the historic Kolar gold fields during the British colonial era, depicting the courageous journey of a tribe that defiantly stood up against the invaders. Since the release of its intriguing first look, which showcased Vikram in an unprecedented avatar, Thangalaan has captured the imagination of audiences.

Vikram has gone the extra mile to embody his character in Thangalaan, even transforming his physique to bring authenticity to his role.

The movie also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone and Pasupathy in the lead roles.

With the completion of the shoot, the film's post-production will go into full swing. According to reports, the filmmakers have decided to release the movie in cinemas during the Pongal holiday next year.
