Before Thangalaan hits theatres, here are five films starring Vikram which you can stream right away
Actor Vikram, who was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan duology, is currently awaiting the release of his film titled Thangalaan. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film is said to trace the origins of Kolar Gold Fields and is expected to be a raw and rustic period action drama. Meanwhile, Vikram is also working with director SU Arun Kumar for Veera Dheera Sooran. While these films are yet to get a release date, here are some of Vikram's films you can stream now on OTTplay Premium.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Raavanan is an action-adventure film, starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Karthik, Prabhu and Priyamani among others. The film takes inspiration from Ramayana, and follows the abduction of a ruthless cop's wife by a tribal leader-turned-Naxalite. As she develops Stockholm Syndrome, she understands the real motives behind her abductor. The film was made in Hindi simultaneously, with Vikram, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

Directed by Shafi, Majaa is a 2005 Tamil film, starring Vikram, Pasupathy, Asin, Vadivelu, Anu Prabhakar, Vijayakumar, Manivannan, Murali and Biju Menon, among others. The film is a remake of the director's film Thommanum Makkalum. Majaa has music scored by Vidyasagar. The film follows the lives of two adopted sons who migrate to a nearby village only to learn the atrocities of a merciless landlord there.

I is a 2015 Tamil film directed by S Shankar and stars Vikram, Amy Jackson and Suresh Gopi among others. The romantic action thriller follows the life of a bodybuilder who develops feelings for a model. After they eventually get together, a mysterious disease conquers his body, deforming his appearance which leads him to keep himself away from his lover. The film takes inspiration from classic works like The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast.

Iru Mugan shows the aftermath of an attack on the Indian Embassy in Malaysia, which leads a former agent to be enlisted to track down those responsible. This leads to his old enemy who has come up with a deadly drug to cause further destruction. Directed by Anand Shankar, the film stars Vikram, Nayanthara, Nithya Menen, Nasser and others.

Cast: Vikram, Jiiva
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, David stars Vikram and Jiiva in the lead roles. The film revolves around two men who are named David and how the steps they are going to take will change their lives forever. David was also made in Hindi, which revolved around three titular characters.
