It isn't a matter of any surprise that veteran Kamal Haasan's fandom extends beyond just Tamil Nadu. As one of the most widely recognized Indian actors across the globe, Kamal Haasan's popularity transcends demography, linguistic divides, age, and gender. One among his many ardent fan bases exists in Karnataka where the 65-year-old actor is still fondly recalled for his multiple special appearances in the films of the past. Be it because of the fact that he dubbed for himself in the 2006 film Rama Shama Bhama or that one of his most iconic films Pushpak was shot entirely in Bengaluru, Haasan shares an intimate bond with his from the state. And as his most recent release Vikram finds a tremendous reception in Karnataka, the actor was endeared into sharing a special message in Kannada for his all fans which, for obvious reasons, has charmed everyone.

"The Kannada cinema audience has always supported good cinema. And just as they adore and support a good artist, both my film Vikram and I too have been fortunate to receive similar support. This brings me great joy and happiness," said Kamal Haasan in the special video message that is now available on the internet. In the same video, continuing to speak in Kannada, Kamal Haasan stated that he must rightfully acknowledge the technical and background crew that has worked on the film, along with co-stars, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, and all his fans.

The core technical crew of Vikram comprises music composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, editor Philomin Raj, and stunt master twins Anbarivu. In the same breath, Kamal Haasan also named his co-stars Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Chemban Vinod Jose, and also Suriya who makes a rather exciting cameo appearance in the film. About Lokesh Kanagaraj, who wrote and directed Vikram, the Vishwaroopam actor says that the former's love for cinema is visible in each frame of the film.
