Aritra Sen has just completed the shooting of Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine with Solanki Roy and Vikram Chatterjee. The actor and the actress became household names after their television serial Ichhe Nodee which ran between 2015 to 2017. After five years, the duo shares the screen and according to the director, the magic is still intact.

“It has been five years. Solanki has pursued her career and I have mine. In these years, we grew as individuals. However, when we met again on the sets of Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine, it took us a wink to be back in our game. There was absolutely no difference in terms of understanding and camaraderie,” Vikram says.

In Ichhe Nodee, Vikram plays Anuraag – a doctor. “Anuraag and Meghla’s (Solanki) love story was well appreciated during that time. Five years on, we see no dearth in that excitement. People have remembered our pair and that recall value keeps coming. Many pairs on television become successful but I feel this is special. Ichhe Nodee was a popular show and I think no other show got so much traction at an odd hour like 5.30 pm. I believe in magic and Solanki and I share that magic on screen,” adds the actor.

In fact, director Aritra has also pointed out earlier that their on-screen chemistry has been working in favour of the film. “Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine is a romantic story. Hence, it was imminent for the actors to exude romance. Solanki and Vikram have worked before and they have a sizzling chemistry between them. That is working in our favour,” he told us earlier.

Aritra is currently in London with his directorial debut Ghore Pherar Gaan which will be screened at the London Indian Film Festival. The film features Parambrata Chatterjee and Ishaa Saha in the lead.
