Vikram: A crucial combination scene featuring Kamal, Sethupathi and Fahadh is now being shot

One of the much-expected Tamil films of 2022, Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram is in its final leg of production. Kamal Haasan, who plays the titular role in the action thriller, rejoined the shooting today after a short break owing to having tested positive for COVID-19 a month ago.

The film began its shooting from August this year and production has been going on at a rapid pace since the beginning of this month. A press release issued by Raaj Kamal Films International, which is bankrolling the project, informed that the current schedule will feature Kamal, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil.

According to the release, cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, stunt choreographers Anbarivu, editor Philomin Raj, dance choreographer Sandy and art director Satheesh are the prime crew members who will be part of this schedule. The title teaser of the project was released more than a year ago on Kamal's birthday.

On his birthday this year, the team unveiled a 'glimpse' which had Kamal in action mode. Fans of the veteran actor-filmmaker are eagerly awaiting for the movie which is said to be hitting the screens towards March end. An official announcement on the same is expected from the team next year.

The release said, "Vikram went into production in August and has completed many schedules. However, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has been on a break due to Covid. After a short break, the star is back to shoot from today with enthusiasm and vigour. As filming progresses at a feverish pace, the combined scenes of Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil are being shot in this schedule."

The movie, which is Kamal's 232nd project, is being produced by himself along with R Mahendran. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring music for Vikram; the young musician is composing for the first time for a Kamal-starrer.
