The project is expected to hit screens on 2024 as a summer release,
Vijay and Venkat Prabu
When film buffs were waiting for Venkat Prabhu's bilingual movie Custody which hit screens on May 12, little did they anticipate that the filmmaker would come up with an exciting announcement soon. The filmmaker was excited to inform that he is all set to helm Vijay for Thalapathy 68.
The project which marks the first collaboration between the director and actor, marks the reunion of the latter with the production house AGS Entertainment after Bigil which was released in 2019. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to compose music for the film.
However, more details of the movie will be revealed only after the star's Leo, the forthcoming film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, releases on October 19. At a press meet recently, when Venkat was asked about a few fans on the project's update, he said that he is not at a liberty to divulge anything and that he will open up at the right time.
Now, Premgi, actor-turned-musician and brother of Venkat, has shared an old video of Vijay wishing the team of Chennai 600028, the debut film of the director. Apparently, the star was invited as a guest for the movie's 100th day event, but he couldn't attend it as he was shooting abroad.
But a video which has him heaping praise on the trendsetting film's crew was screened at the event. It has him saying that he enjoyed the film thoroughly and that its realistic nature impressed him. Vijay also opened up about his favourite song from Chennai 600028 and couldn't control laughter while talking about Premgi.
An elated Premgi has now captioned the video with "Thalabathy loves me the most". The video is doing the rounds on Twitter and fans are wondering if Premgi would be a part of Thalapathy 68.
