Earlier in the day we had reported that actor Vijay has launched the official flag and anthem of his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. An event was held at this party headquarters in Chennai on Thursday, where the actor unveiled them. However, on the sidelines, the event also sparked a meme fest on social media, with many trolling as well as supporting Vijay.
Earliet this year, Vijay who enjoys a mass fanbase in Tamil Nadu announced his political plunge and floated his party called Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. On Thursday, the actor unveiled the party anthem and flag.

Divided horizontally into three segments, with the top ones in red and the middle in yellow, the flag features two elephants with vaagai flower (Albizia lebbeck) in the middle. Vijay also hosted the flag at the party's headquarters in Panaiyur where the party's anthem was also played. Various personalities from the film industry extended their support for Vijay and his new endeavour.

Vijay had announced that his party will be contesting in the 2026 Assembly elections. The actor had also said that he would be quitting cinema soon. After his upcoming film The GOAT, Vijay is expected to do a film with H Vinoth before retiring from cinema. It is tentatively titled Thalapathy 69.
The actor’s first release after announcing his political entry, will be The GOAT - Greatest of All Time. The film will hit big screens on September 5 and is directed by Venkat Prabhu. It has completed censor formalities and received a U/A certificate.
