Many have raised objection to the offensive dialogue delivered by the actor
The trailer of Vijay's latest outing Leo dropped on YouTube last evening and since then, it has become the talk of the town. The trailer has now clocked more than 26 million views and continues to be one of the most watched trailers in recent times. However, one particular segment of the trailer hasn't gone down well with the audience.
Vijay's objectionable dialogue
Vijay plays a dual role in the film, one that of a family man and the other remains a a mysterious character. In a particular scene, Vijay is seen lamenting to his onscreen wife Trisha that someone who looks like him is the reason for the all problems in their life. While stating the dialogue, the actor goes on to call the 'mystery man', the son of a prostitute. This has not gone down well with the audience.
Vijay and his clean image
Vijay has always resorted to using clean dialogues in his films and the very mention of the word has come as a shock to many. One of the users, wrote, "I don’t know How Vijay accepted this dialogue, antha word avaraye solikira mathiri iruku.. becoz antha Leo ve evaru than movie la .. athuku bathila Vera word use pannirukalam.. i think movie cut la ethu mute agidum (sic)."
Another user wrote that the dialogue has upset his mother. "She Enjoy the trailer but finally get apset because of the dialogue. #Leo (sic)," he wrote on his social media handle. Many have asked the makers to mute the dialogue during the film's release.
Will this dialogue affect his family audience which largely comprise women and children? That we will have to wait and watch.
