The real-life couple is working together for the first time in the Netflix anthology.
Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma have lately admitted to dating. Earlier this year, a video of the two actors engaging in PDA went viral, prompting dating suspicions that they would soon be seen in one of the four shorts in Netflix's Lust Stories 2. Months of conjecture culminated in the couple's confirmation of their relationship. They have kept their romance out of the public's view until now, ahead of their first outing together, Lust Stories 2.
Tamannaah and Vijay appear as ex-partners in the Sujoy Ghosh-directed anthology film. The Gully Boy actor couldn't stop praising her, and people are excited to see what else the duo has in store. During an interview with News18, Vijay spoke at length about his first impression of Tamannaah and why he thought she was ideal for the part opposite him.
The actor stated Tamannaah is a perfect fit for the role, and he read the script so he knows what the script is asking of him. The amazing and surprising part of this is how quickly and eagerly Tamannaah jumped on board to learn more about this plot and its protagonist. As they were both so eager to get started, working with her was a breeze for him. Their anticipation for working with Sujoy was high. Vijay also said that when one is enthusiastic about what they are doing and gives it their all, the process becomes very fun.
Moreover, Vijay was familiar with some of Tamannaah's work, and he said that it's clear why she's considered a cultural icon. The actor saw her most recent film, Babli Bouncer before filming Lust Stories 2 and was immediately impressed with how much potential he saw in her. Her Baahubali character is a mystery to unravel for him. Vijay said she's got it, and Tamannaah's got it too, so that was good.
