Chimbudeven, whose last outing was Vijay-starrer Puli which was a debacle at the box office, is back with Kasada Tabara. Produced by Venkat Prabhu’s Black Ticket Company and Trident Arts, the film’s teaser was released by Vijay Sethupathi.

The teaser, which is of more than a minute’s duration, opens with Koyambedu flyover in Chennai and Gautham Menon giving a voice over on how human lives are based on two phenomena, vantage point theory and butterfly effect. It also provides a sneak peek into the film’s theme, the contrast between the haves and the have-nots.

The teaser also gives a glimpse into the characters which the lead actors play in it. Harish Kalyan, Regina Cassandra, Premgi, Sundeep Kishan, Sampath, Shanthnu, Arvind Akash, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Vijayalakshmi essay lead roles in Kasada Tabara which comprises of six short stories, all linked to each other. Interestingly, each story has different editor, cinematographer and music composers.

Yuvan Shankar Raja, Santhosh Narayanan, Ghibran, Premgi, Sam CS, Sean Roldan have composed music for the film, while MS Prabhu, Vijay Milton, Balasubramaniem, RD Rajasekhar, Sakthi Saravanan and SR Kathir have cranked the camera. Kasi Viswanathan, Raja Mohammed, Antony, Praveen KL, Vivek Harshan and Ruben are the editors.

Chimbudeven, who made his directorial debut with the sensational film, Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei ensures that the genre of his films is different, and comes up with a unique theme this time, too. Having handled comedy, fantasy and magic realism in his previous attempts, the director has tried to combine vantage point theory and butterfly effect in Kasada Tabara, and movie buffs are eagerly waiting to know what’s in store for them. The multi-starrer cast is another attraction of the movie, which is set to release on SonyLIV, on August 27.
