Ever since Mysskin announced the second instalment in the horror thriller series, Pisasu, curiosity has piqued among the audience. Pisasu 2 stars Andrea Jeremiah in the lead and the shoot was wrapped up late last year. Since then the team has been busy with the post production work of the film. Now the latest we hear is that Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who makes a special appearance in the film, has completed dubbing for his portions.

The film's production house shared a picture of Mysskin with Vijay Sethupathi and captioned it, "Our #John @VijaySethuOffl completed his Dubbing for @DirectorMysskin's magnum opus #Pisasu2 #Pisachi2 #Pishaachi2 #Pishaachi2 @andrea_jeremiah @Lv_Sri @actor_ajmal @shamna_kkasim @Actorsanthosh @kbsriram16 @APVMaran @saregamasouth @teamaimpr (sic)."

The teaser of the film was released last month and well received. Poorna and Santhosh Pratap are also part of the star cast. Siva Santhakumar has cranked the camera, and editing is by Keerthana and Sushil Umapathy. Music for the film is by Karthik Raja and lyrics for the songs are by Kabilan. Though the project has been titled Pisasu 2, it is not a sequel to Pisasu. Pisasu 2 will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The film is bankrolled by T Muruganantham under Rockfort Entertainment.

The director's last outing was Pyscho (streaming on Netflix) which was released in 2020. The horror movie starred Udhayanidhi Stalin, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari in lead roles. In the meantime, Mysskin had begun the pre-production work for the investigative thriller Thupparivalan 2, but after a fallout with the team, he left the project. Vishal then stepped in to direct the film and Thupparivalan 2 will mark his directorial debut.

Pisasu (2014) had Naga, Prayaga Martin, Radha Ravi, Harish Uthaman and Kalyani Natarajan in the lead. It had music by Arrol Corelli, cinematography by Ravee Roy and editing by Gopinath.
