Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen are set to star in the upcoming film which will be directed by filmmaker Pandiraj, the makers announced on Friday. The film will be bankrolled by T.G. Thyagarajan under Sathya Jyothi banner.
Actor Nithya Menen, who recently won the National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in Thiruchitrambalam, is all set to share screen space with actor Vijay Sethupathi for an upcoming Tamil film.
The upcoming project, which is yet to get a title, will be helmed by filmmaker Pandiraj. Sathya Jyothi Films is producing the project, the makers announced on Friday. The upcoming project will mark the second time the lead actors are working together after their Malayalam film 19(1)(a).
According to the makers, the film is touted to be a family entertainer that will cater to all age groups. The film has gone on floors already, with Nithya Menen soon to join the sets. The movie's title and details of other actors and technical crew who are part of the project will be officially unveiled by Sathya Jyothi Films soon.

In the recently announced 70th National Film Awards, Nithya Menen won the Best Actress award for her performance in the 2022 Tamil film Thiruchitrambalam. The film is streaming on SunNXT and OTTplay Premium.
Starring Dhanush in the lead role, the film is directed by filmmaker Mithran Jawahar. The romantic drama revolves around a young man named Pazham, who seems to be unlucky in love, However, with his best friend Shobhana by his side, Pazham sees the bright side of his life. Thiruchitrambalam also received the Best Choreography award, with Sathish Krishnan and Jani Master sharing the award.
Thiruchitrambalam also stars Prakash Raj, Bharathiraja, Raashii Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and others. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film.
