"I decided to not break down in tears," says Vijay Raghavendra
But the same event saw Vijay Raghavendra being a model of resilience and a sincere professional who came out to support his Kaddha Chitra team despite his personal grief. Taking the mic, the actor spoke about the film and its making, and he was convinced to play the role following his initial reluctance. In the same breath, he would also thank the media, the general public and everyone else who stood by him in the tough times.
"You all have stood by me like a mother, like a family and this fact is of great value to me," said Vijay Raghavendra, fighting tears. "I wanted to not break down in tears because she (Spandana) respected this team a lot," he added.
"I am not doing anything extraordinary by showing up here. It is every artist's responsibility to support their producers because they give you work, money, opportunity, comfort and so much more," added Vijay Raghavendra.
An endearing anniversary tribute to wife, Spandana
On the occasion of their 16th wedding anniversary, Vijay Raghavendra took to social media to share a heartwarming video tribute to his late wife. "I Love you Chinna!" wrote the actor as he shared a video comprising some of the best moments of their life together, along with a voiceover. The post, of course, would attract a lot of positive comments and love from including fellow Kannada film actors such as Diganth Manchale Aindrita Ray, Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee, Shanvi Srivastava and others.
