Vijay Deverakonda on 'arrogant' controversy for putting feet on table: Will always have a target on back

Liger actor Vijay Deverakonda has reacted to the media calling him an arrogant person for putting his feet on table during a press conference for his upcoming release.

Vijay Deverakonda has responded to being called arrogant over putting his fee on table during a media interaction for Liger.

During the media interaction, Vijay was asked if he would be just as free and open with the media now that he has become a Bollywood star. To which, Vijay candidly said that the journalist who had asked the question could strech his legs "talk freely" to him. And, to prove his point, he had casually lifted his feet on top of the table. While everybody took it as a joke and burst out laughing, a section of the media was not pleased wiht his reaction and called him arrogant.

Vijay Deverakonda's Liger co-star Ananya Panday was also in attendance when the incident took place.

Reacting to a TV5 news report, that was titled the incident as "Attitude Controversy", Vijay tweeted saying that when a person is doing well in their area of interest, they will "have a target on their back".

"... And when you are honest, yourself and want the best for everyone - the love of people and God will protect you," he wrote.

On the work front, Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up for his first-ever Hindi film Liger which is also releasing in other releases such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Vijay will be also seen in Kushi with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which is a multi-lingual film and scheduled to release on December 23, 2022.
