Vijay Devarakonda's intense poster from VD12 goes viral

Vijay Deverakonda suffered a major setback with the failure of Liger which he had pinned a lot of hopes on. Now, he has teamed up with director Gowtam Tinnanuri for a period drama where Sreeleela plays the female lead. Tentatively titled VD12, the film is jointly produced by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas banner.

The cop drama is presented by Srikara Studios. One of the country’s top composers, Anirudh Ravichander scores the music. VD12 was formally launched last week. Commemorating Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday today, the makers of VD12 have come up with a special surprise for the fans. A new sepia-tinted retro poster of the untitled film was launched today.

In the special birthday poster, various pieces of paper when brought together unveil a partial glimpse of the actor’s look. His look is introduced through a black-and-white portrait where his intense expressions grab eyeballs. With the intensity of Vijay Deverakonda and the storytelling abilities of Gowtam Tinnanuri, one can expect a cracker of an outing on the big screen.

Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli(National Award winner for Jersey) is the editor. Avinash Kolla is the art director. The shoot of VD12 commences this June. Other details surrounding the film's cast will be announced shortly. Watch this space for more updates.
