A few days ago, film lovers were shocked to hear news about Vijay Antony meeting with an accident during the shooting of Pichaikkaran 2 at Malaysia. Several speculations did the rounds on social media ever since a few sources confirmed the news.
It was heard that the actor-musician suffered grave injury, though official details weren't revealed from the makers. Now, the man himself has taken to Twitter to open up on his current health status.
He has posted a picture of his thumb and has tweeted that he underwent a major jaw and nose surgery and that he is looking forward to interacting with everyone. He thanked his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and concerns.
His tweet read, "Dear friends, I am safely recovered from a severe jaw and nose injury during Pichaikkaran 2 shoot in Malaysia. I just completed a major surgery. I will talk to you all as soon as possible. Thank you for all your support and concern for my health (sic)."
Pichaikkaran 2 marks Vijay's directorial debut; the movie was earlier supposed to be helmed by Priya Krishnaswamy of Baaram fame. A short glimpse from the much-awaited project was unveiled by Vijay a while ago. His fans are curious to know what they have in store this time.
Pichaikkaran, which was released in 2016, was a runaway hit in Tamil and Telugu. The sequel is being made in both the languages, and makers hope that the second part, too, strikes a chord with the audience.
