The trailer of Vijay 69 shows the journey of Vijay (Anupam Kher) from a restless veteran to a determined athlete, guided by his resilience and the unexpected support of a young partner, portrayed by Mihir Ahuja. Chunky Pandey plays Vijay's friend, providing encouragement and support.

The synopsis for the film on the Yash Raj Films website reads, "The film beautifully captures the spirit of "better late than never," and follows the remarkable journey of Vijay, a 69-year-old man who defies societal expectations by training for a triathlon and refusing to let age limit his ambitions. With its playful spirit and heartfelt message, the film taps into those universal “pick yourself up” moments, blending humor and emotion as it explores the relationships that sustain us."

The film features Anupam Kher, Chunky Panday, and Mihir Ahuja. Directed by Akshay Roy, Vijay 69 is produced by Maneesh Sharma, with co-producer Akshaye Widhani, and associate producer Yogendra Mogre. In an interview, the filmmaker shared that it was a pleasure to work once again with his producer, Maneesh Sharma, to bring this YRF Entertainment and Netflix collaboration to fruition.
