Vidyut Jammwal is taking his action prowess on to the stage of a brand new reality show, India's Ultimate Warrior. The actor will act as the host for the upcoming action reality show.

The series will also involve four mentors, each trained in combat sports, and together, they seek to find people similarly gifted in combat art forms. In addition to judging the contestant’s physical skills, their mental strong points such as balance, determination, focus and control, will also be judged.

Jammwal unveiled a poster for the upcoming show today on his official social media handles. The poster features the Commando star along with the four mentors of the show, some of whom are seen striking fighting poses. In the caption, the actor talked about how they were on the search for ‘India Ke Naye Mahayoddha’ on the show, someone with the right balance of mental and physical strength.

In a statement, Jammwal talked about how the main focus of the show was to bring out the best in the contestants by putting them in very difficult situations. He also talked about how it was long overdue that reality shows became ‘real’ and their job was to find ‘a warrior’ who excelled in any field. “The job bestowed upon me was to find the ultimate warrior; a warrior in any field, someone who experiences everything with their mind, body and spirit at any given moment and this was the crux of the show,” he said. The actor will serve as the head of a ‘fight camp’ for contestants, as they battle amongst themselves to see who prevails on top.

India's Ultimate Warrior will be available to stream on Discovery+ on March 4. The series will start airing on the Discovery Channel from March 14.

Meanwhile, Jammwal, who was recently seen in Disney+Hotstar’s Sanak, is currently working on his film Khuda Haafiz: Chapter II – Agni Pariksha.
