Vidya Balan's murder mystery Neeyat will release on THIS date in theatres

Fans of actress Vidya Balan cannot keep calm as the Sherni actress is back on the big screen with the film Neeyat.

The murder mystery is about a detective who is on the hunt for a criminal behind mysterious murders at a billionaire’s party where nothing is what it seems and all suspects hide a secret or two.

The film is written by Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani, with dialogues by Kausar Munir.

Neeyat has an ensemble cast that consists of Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Niki Walia, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, and Danesh Razvi.

This is the second time Vidya and Anu Menon are working together after the film Shakuntala Devi, which is based on the life and times of the "human computer".

In the recent past, Vidya built a strong fan base among OTT content consumers with successful films like Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, and Jalsa. Apart from these films, she has also acted in a short film titled Natkhat.

Vidya's last theatrical release was the 2019 film Mission Mangal with Akshay Kumar. Now that the celebrated actress is coming back to the big screen, all eyes are on Vidya.

Neeyat releases in theatres on July 7.
