Vidya Balan can’t tap into the same Manjulika for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, here’s why

Vidya Balan was introduced to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 not to long ago. She happens to be the OG, who played the iconic character of Manjulika in the very first installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which released in 2007. However, the actress went on to talk about how nothing is the same this time around. While it is obvious that she has grown as a person and an actor, Manjulika too is not the same, she revealed.
What Vidya said
Vidya Balan was talking to Miss Malini when Vidya said that it’s just not possible to revisit the Manjulika from Bhool Bhulaiyaa, because it was more than a decade back. She’s a different individual, actor and character today, 17 years later. “It’s not the same. So much time has passed, nothing is the same. I love that newness,” Vidya said.
Her experience on the film
Vidya describes coming back to the film as ‘joyous’ She calls it fun and reveals she has shot for a few days already and is looking forward to a lot of it.
About the franchise and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Back in 2007, Bhool Bhulaiyaa became an iconic film and Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav and of course, Vidya, became recognized for their characters. 15 years later, Kartik Aaryan stepped into Akshay Kumar’s shoes and most of the cast (at least the leading faces) were changed. Kiara Advani and Tabu played the female leads in the movie. For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Triptii Dimri has replaced them both and Vidya has stepped back in to bring Anees Bazmee’s vision to life.
Vidya’s latest film
Vidya was promoting her recently released film, Do Aur Do Pyaar. The actress has been promoting the movie with Pratik Gandhi all across. Do Aur Do Pyaar is now out in theatres and also features Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy in the lead roles.
