Vidya Balan made a comeback in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise after starring in the first film 17 years back. While audiences are loving her performance in the film, as expected, the film has been receiving an overwhelming response at the box office as well. Apart from Vidya, the film also stars Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa actress has now reacted to the massive success of the third installment and also called it her biggest to date.
In a conversation with The Indian Express, Vidya Balan talked about how well the film is doing and also mentioned that this is her biggest to date. She said, “The film is doing so well, I am loving it. It is my biggest to date. Can this get any better?"
She further talked about how she never imagined that BB3 would perform this well and said, “Better than I could have imagined and honestly I had not imagined this. I never imagined that after 17 years I would do a Bhool Bhulaiyaa again and bring back to life Manjulika. I had not imagined that I would get so much love for it. I am very happy, I am so happy that the film is doing so well."
Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has already crossed Rs 150 crore at the box office in its first week and is now set to enter the Rs 200 crore club in its second week. With its 9-day run at the box office, the film's collections now stand at Rs 183 crore nett in India. With the current speed, the film can easily surpass the Rs 300 mark at the box office in its lifetime run.
For the uninitiated, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was released alongside Rohit Shetyy's cop film, Singham Again. The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Arjun Kapoor among others. While Kartik Aaryan's film faced tough competition with the cop film initially, it is now leading at the box office leaving Ajay Devgn's film behind.
