Vidya Balan: Akshay Kumar is my most 'Natkhat' co-star

Vidya Balan's short film Natkhat is slated to release on July 24. While promoting the movie that’ll stream on Voot as part of the Voot Select Film Festival, she spilled the beans about the movie, her co-stars and much more at a virtual interaction with the media.

When asked about the most 'Natkhat' (naughty) co-star she has worked with so far, Vidya was quick to respond, "Akshay Kumar is my most Natkhat co-star. He's a prankster, but it is so much fun to be around him and work with him. He's a great actor and brings a lot of joy to the sets," the actress shared.

In real life though, Vidya calls her sister Priya the 'most natkhat'. "My sister Priya, who is four years elder to me, is a Natkhat. She would ring the doorbell and I would follow her. I was fat, so I couldn't run as fast as her and would be caught," she was in splits while recalling those memories.

Being happy that her short film releases on an OTT platform that is accessible to everyone, Vidya said, "You could be sitting in a bus and watching the festival. That is so productive too, right?"

Talking about the benefits of OTT, the actress shared, "On OTT, with a good concept and big stars, the content reaches people instantly. Of course, the smaller stars face difficulty even now but they are also given a chance."

Natkhat is Vidya's third film to be released directly on OTT. Her movies Shakuntala Devi and Sherni also premiered digitally on Amazon Prime Video.
