Viduthalai-Part 2: The sequel, set to release on December 20, will feature new cast members including Manju Warrier, Kishore, Samuthirakani, and music by Ilaiyaraaja
We had earlier reported that the second part of Viduthalai is set to hit theatres in December. On that note, the makers of the film recently shared that the dubbing of the film has begun with lead actors Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. Viduthalai is a duology which is directed by filmmaker Vetrimaaran.
Viduthalai Part 2, the upcoming sequel of Vetrimaaran’s duology is in the making and slated for a theatrical release in December. Ahead of this, the makers on Thursday announced that the dubbing works for the film have commenced. Actors Soori and Vijay Sethupathi who are playing the lead roles, have begun dubbing for their portions.
Viduthalai is directed by Vetrimaaran and is a period action drama. The film revolves around a rookie cop who is torn between his uniform and people’s movement against the oppression. Viduthalai Part 1 marked Soori’s debut as lead who went on to shine as an actor. Besides directing, Vetrimaaran has also written the screenplay along with writer Jeyamohan. Backed by Grass Root Film Company and RS Infotainmen, Viduthalai Part 2 will release in theatres on December 20.

Viduthalai part 1 starred Bhavani Sre, Gautham Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chetan and others. While Vijay Sethupathi played a cameo, the second part is expected have more of him, with new cast members joining. Viduthalai Part 1 is available for streaming on ZEE5, as well as OTTplay Premium app. The second part will also stream on the platform after finishing its theatrical run.

Ilaiyaraaja who scored music for the first part, will also be composing for sequel as well. Vidhuthalai- Part 1 opened to positive reception upon its release.
