Viduthalai Part 1: The Telugu version gets off to an impressive start; clocks 1.5 crores on Day 1

Ace director, Vetrimaaran is back with his new action drama Viduthalai Part 1. The film has impressed one and all in Tamil Nadu and is also making good box office numbers since its release. As the word of mouth was good, star producer, Allu Aravind bought the dubbing rights of the film and released it in a limited number of theaters on Saturday.

Titled Vidudhala Part 1 in Telugu, the film opened to some glowing reviews from critics and audiences in Tollywood. With each passing show, the word of mouth is growing for this film which has Vijay Sethupathi and Sorri in lead roles. The day one collection is out and the film has made 1.5 crores gross in Telugu states. These are impressive numbers as not many even knew such a film is coming out.

The promotions for Vidudhala were also low key but the word of mouth is spreading slowly. As Samantha's Shaakuntalam is also not performing well at the Telugu box office, Vidudhala is getting decent attention. The occupancy for this action drama has increased a lot in the Hyderabad region. Especially the multiplexes are seeing good occupancy as per the trade reports.

Once the weekdays start tomorrow, we need to see how the film performs at the box office. The film has Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Ilavarasu, and Balaji Sakthivel in key roles and their performances are the biggest highlight of the film. Soori, who plays a key role is getting special recognition for this film. The wait is now on for the sequel.
