Team Viduthalai poses for a photo
We had reported recently that a crucial schedule of Vetri Maaran's ambitious project Viduthalai was wrapped up at Sirumalai where makers erected a set worth 10 crores. Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies had acquired theatrical rights of the project recently, and announced that the movie will hit the screens later this year.
Viduthalai, which is based on B Jeyamohan's short story Thunaivan, has Soori playing the lead while Vijay Sethupathi, Gautham Menon and Prakash Raj among others will be seen essaying significant characters. The film is being made in two parts; the post production of the first part is being handled simultaneously by makers even as shooting is happening in full swing.
The team has now revealed that an important schedule of the film has been completed in Kodaikanal. Vijay Sethupathi himself posted a few pictures from the location which have the crew members posing for photos. Soori, Vetri Maaran, cinematographer Velraj and action choreographer Peter Hein are seen in the pics.
According to Sethupathi, the crew finished the schedule with an action-packed episode under the helm of Peter. Movie buffs, including fans of Vetri Maaran and Sethupathi, are now awaiting the release date update of the movie.
Ilaiyaraaja is composing music for the first time for a Vetri Maaran directorial; this is also the first time the filmmaker will be coming up with a sequel for his project. Though he had earlier confirmed that a second part will be made for his 2018 release Vada Chennai, there is no update on it yet.
The director will begin Vaadi Vaasal, starring Suriya, after he completes Viduthalai. He had recently confirmed in a recent interaction about his first collaboration with Vijay. The National Award winning filmmaker is likely to team up with the Varisu star once he completes his ongoing assignments.
