Speculations are rife that Suriya has done a cameo in the Kamal Haasan-starrer,
The internet has been abuzz with the rumours for the last few days that Suriya has done a cameo appearance in Kamal Haasan's upcoming film Vikram. And now, a video of Suriya meeting Kamal Haasan on a crowded set and the duo exchanging hugs is doing the rounds on social media. This has once again sparked the buzz that Suriya is doing a special appearance in the film. There has been confirmation from the team yet on the same.
If the speculations indeed turn out to be true, this would be the second time that Suriya would be doing a cameo in a Kamal Haasan-starrer after Manmadhan Ambu. In the romantic comedy that released in 2010, Suriya had appeared as himself in a cameo. The film, directed by KS Ravikumar, had Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Madhavan and Sangeetha playing the lead characters. The film was said to be based on the 1948 film Romance on the High Seas. The film had an ensemble cast including Ramesh Aravind,Usha Uthup, Manju Pillai, Oviya and Urvashi.
In the meantime, the team of Vikram has been involved in the promotions of the film in the run-up to its release. Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and the star cast includes Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil as well. Music is by Anirudh and the first single from the album Pathala Pathala was released yesterday.
Suriya, on the other hand, is currently busy with his upcoming film with his mentor, director. The shoot for the film is on in full swing and the team had recently wrapped up the first schedule of the film in Kanyakumari. Krithi Shetty and Mamitha Baiju play the leading ladies in the film. While GV Prakash Kumar is scoring the music, Balasubramaniem Kathiresan is handling the cinematography. The next schedule of the film is all set to begin in Goa.
