Naturally, the audience is looking forward to its digital release to see what all the buzz is about. It turns out the movie is finally releasing on Netflix—and that too this week. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video On OTT

Directed and written by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is about a couple who record their intimate moments and store them on a CD. The CD goes missing one day, turning their lives upside down. The entire rollercoaster journey revolves around the two trying to locate the CD so no one can see what it contains. The movie is laced with a brilliant supporting cast, including Vijay Raaz, Mallika Sherawat, Rakesh Bedi, Archana Puran Singh, Tiku Talsania, Mukesh Tiwari, and others.

It was during the release of the movie that it was confirmed that the film would hit the streaming platform Netflix after wrapping up its theatrical run. It turns out we now have a release date that the audience was curious to know. Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video will hit Netflix on December 7, 2024, just a day after Jigra lands on the streaming service on December 6.

The Controversy

Right after Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was released, it was observed that the makers had used elements from Maddock Films’ Stree franchise without taking due permission from the production house. When called out, Raaj Shaandilyaa issued a statement through his social media. The note read:

"Raaj Shaandilyaa, the director of the film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, on behalf of myself and on behalf of Super Cassettes Ind. Pvt. Ltd. Balaji Motion Pictures, and Wakaoo Films, the producers of the film, extend our sincere and unconditional apology for the unauthorized use of characters and dialogue from Maddock Films' franchise Stree in our film."

He added:

"We deeply regret any harm caused to Maddock Films and their franchise as a result of this infringement. We are taking immediate steps to rectify the issue and are in the process of removing all infringing content from our film wherein we have used characters and dialogue from Maddock Films' Stree at the earliest.”
