Vicky Kaushal is looking forward to doing some exciting projects ahead. The Bollywood actor has Laxman Utekar's Chhaava lined up for theatrical release. It is expected to release in the first quarter of 2025. Once Chhaava releases, Vicky will gear up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War's release. He also has Amar Kaushik's Mahavatar in the pipeline. The latest development is that Kaushal is expected to reunite with director Rajkumar Hirani after their 2023 film Dunki.
Vicky Kaushal to reunite with Rajkumar Hirani?
According to a Pinkvilla report, Vicky Kaushal had been in conversation with Rajkumar Hirani for the last few months for his next directorial. The actor has reportedly signed the dotted line for Hirani's upcoming venture. It is currently in the scripting stage.
"The film rolls in 2026 once he wraps up shooting for the Amar Kaushik-directed Mahavatar. It’s a special project and Rajkumar Hirani will extensively work on the script before taking it on floors in 2026," a source told the entertainment portal.
Apart from Laxman Utekar, SLB, and Rajkumar Hirani, Vicky is apparently in talks with two more producers for multiple projects. The actor's last theatrical releases were Dunki and Sam Bahadur in 2024.
Vicky Kaushal's upcoming project announced
Meanwhile, Maddock Films recently announced Vicky Kaushal's upcoming project. The actor will be seen in Amar Kaushik's Mahavatar. He will stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the movie will hit the big screen on Diwali 2026.
A motion poster of Vicky's new film was shared on Instagram. While sharing the same, the makers mentioned, "Dinesh Vijan brings to life the story of the eternal warrior of dharma! Vicky Kaushal stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama in #Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik. Coming to cinemas - Christmas 2026! (sic)."
