With barely a month left for the release of Sam Bahadur, the makers of the movie are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film with high ‘josh’! This morning, Vicky Kaushal shared a post on Instagram in which he recalled the ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ shoot experience and how it helped him learn the drills and tactics that were needed for the Sam Bahadur shoot.

Vicky Kaushal revisits his 'Uri: The Surgical Strike' days during a recent visit to Delhi, where he learned drills and tactics with the Sikh Regiment for his upcoming movie Sam Bahadur. Sharing a video on Instagram, he showcased his skills with a caption expressing gratitude for the warm welcome.

Vicky reminisced about his training with the 7 Sikh Regiment in 2018 before filming Uri: The Surgical Strike, highlighting the unforgettable memories of obstacle training drills. The actor acknowledged the honour of receiving appreciation from the real heroes, making his visit a nostalgic and inspiring experience.

He said, “Must say I got a warm welcome by the 6 Sikh Regiment this time during my trip to Delhi for Sam Bahadur Trailer launch! In 2018, before we started filming URI, I was trained by the 7 Sikh Regiment. Unki obstacle training drills ki yaadein taaza ho gayi… always feels great to get a pat on your back by the real heroes! #SAMबहादुर On 1.12.2023.”

About Sam Bahadur

Sam Bahadur, an upcoming biographical war drama, delves into the life of India's first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, who co-wrote the script with Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava, the film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala under the RSVP Movies banner. Vicky Kaushal takes on the title role, supported by a cast including Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, and Zeeshan Ayyub.
