Vettaiyan update: Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan’s first looks from Rajinikanth’s film revealed

The makers of Vettaiyan, the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer recently took to their official social media handles and revealed the first looks of Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan from the film.

Vettaiyan, the long-awaited Rajinikanth starrer directed by TJ Gnanavel, is finally set to hit the theatres in October 2024. The project, which marks the legendary superstar’s 170th outing in the Tamil film industry, has been garnering attention with its first single, ‘Manasilayo’ song which was released recently. The makers of Vettaiyan have now kickstarted the promotions of the film, by revealing the character posters of Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan, from the film.

As promised, Lyca Productions, the makers of Vettaiyan, recently took to their official social media handles and revealed two character posters from Vettaiyan, featuring young actresses Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. From Ritika Singh’s poster, it is safe to assume that the actress is playing a cop named Roopa, in the Rajinikanth starrer. Dushara Vijayan, on the other hand, is set to play the role of Saranya, a brave and bold school teacher, in the TJ Gnanavel directorial.

“Get ready for some high-octane action! Introducing @ritika_offl as ROOPA in VETTAIYAN. Witness her strength and power-packed performance on the screen,” wrote the makers, as they introduced Ritika Singh’s character with a special making video. Later, they shared another video which consists of Dushara Vijayan’s moments from the sets of Vettaiyan, and wrote: “Brave & Bold! Introducing @officialdushara as Saranya in VETTAIYAN. Prepare to witness her grit.” From the videos, it is safe to assume that both actresses are appearing in author-backed roles in the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer.

Vettaiyan audio and prevue launch, trailer update, and more

As reported earlier, the makers of Vettaiyan recently announced that the date and venue of the long-awaited audio and prevue launch event, on social media. The grand event will be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, on September 20, 2024, from 6 PM onwards. Along with Rajinikanth and other cast and crew members, a few selected guests are also expected to grace the grand event. Anirudh Ravichander, the music composer is expected to perform live, at the event.
