Vettaiyan update: TJ Gnanavel and team shoot Rajinikanth’s introduction song in Chennai

Vettaiyan is set to release in October. The Rajinikanth-starrer also features Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and others.

Actor Rajinikanth is currently shooting for TJ Gnanavel's Vettaiyan, which is one of the much-anticipated Tamil films this year. With the production under progress, the makers are currently shooting for the introduction song of Rajinikanth. Vettaiyan is set to release on the big screens in October and is backed by Lyca Productions.

Vettaiyan shooting update

As per social media buzz, the shooting for the much-anticipated introduction song of Vettaiyan is under way in Chennai. An elaborate set has been built in Chennai where the shooting is taking place. The song will be choreographed by Dinesh Master and the shooting is expected to take place for a few days. With the makers looking to wrap up filming by the middle of May, Rajinikanth is expected to join the sets of his next, Coolie, soon.

Vettaiyan is directed by Jai Bhim-fame director TJ Gnanavel and backed by Lyca Productions. The film features a star ensemble including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and others. Music is scored by Anirudh Ravichander. In Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is expected to play a cop and will be an action drama. Vettaiyan is set to release in big screens in October and the makers are expected to announce the exact date nearer to the release.

Rajinikanth’s next is Coolie

A few days back, the makers of Rajinikanth’s next unveiled the title teaser of the film. Titled Coolie, the film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is backed by Sun Pictures.

As per reports, Rajinikanth is reportedly set to reunite with his Thalapathy co-star Shobana in the upcoming project. Nagarjuna Akkineni is also rumoured to be playing a pivotal role. Girish Gangadharan will be cranking the camera. The makers are yet to officially confirm the casting and further updates of the film are expected to be rolled out soon. The title teaser of Coolie has already garnered much attention to the project and audiences are awaiting to know what kind of role Rajinikanth will be playing.
