Vettaiyan Prevue: Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan look fierce in this generic glimpse of TJ Gnanavel’s film

The long-awaited Vettaiyan Prevue is finally out on social media. Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are set to share the screen in the TJ Gnanavel film, after a long gap.

Vettaiyan, the highly anticipated Rajinikanth starrer, is gearing up for a grand release on October 10, 2024. The movie, which marks the superstar’s first collaboration with Jai Bhim fame director TJ Gnanavel also features legendary Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. After a long wait, the makers finally dropped the Vettaiyan Prevue video on social media, today. From the special teaser, it is evident that Vettaiyan mainly revolves around the ideology clash between the characters played by Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan.

From the Vettaiyan Prevue it is safe to assume that the TJ Gnanavel directorial revolves around the police force and the team of encounter specialists, headed by the unnamed character played by Rajinikanth. The ideology clash between the protagonist played by the Tamil superstar and Sathyadev, the character essayed by Amitabh Bachchan, seemingly forms the crux of the film. The 1.38 minutes Vettaiyan Prevue video also suggests that the movie is going to be highly on action set pieces, and intense face-off sequences.

Rajinikanth looks perfect in the tailor-made role of an aging encounter specialist, who deeply believes in what he does. Amitabh Bachchan’s unmatched screen presence makes Sathyadev intriguing. Prakash Raj, the senior actor dubbed for the legendary Bollywood superstar in the film, and this creative choice has not landed well.

The rest of the star cast, especially talents like Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Abhirami, Rohini, Kishore, and others are just wasted in blink-and-miss appearances. The dialogues, too, come across as outdated in the Vettaiyan Prevue video, which is now going viral.

Anirudh Ravichander brings the much-needed balance to the Vettaiyan Prevue with his catchy background score. Especially, the ‘Hunter Vantaar’ song number creates the much-needed impact. SR Kathir ISC’s visuals promise that this TJ Gnanavel film is going to be a captivating theatrical watch. The Vettaiyan trailer, which is expected to reveals more details of Rajinikanth and others’ characters, are expected to be out very soon.
