Vettaiyan box office collection day 5: The Rajinikanth starrer has reportedly surpassed the lifetime collections of Thalapathy Vijay’s recent release, The GOAT, in Kerala.

Vettaiyan box office collection Day 5: The Rajinikanth starrer, directed by TJ Gnanavel, hit the theatres on October 10, 2024. The movie, which features the superstar as the titular character, has been receiving mixed reviews from both the audiences and critics. Despite not creating a buzz at the other centers, Vettaiyan has been performing well at the Kerala box office. The movie has surpassed the lifetime collections of The GOAT aka The Greatest Of All Time, the recently released Thalapathy Vijay film, in the state.

According to recent updates from trade experts, Vettaiyan has been performing well at the Kerala box office despite receiving mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. As per the reports, the Rajinikanth starrer made a total box-office collection of over Rs. 13.5 crore from Kerala when it completed the first five days of its release. It is indeed a decent box office figure for the TJ Gnanavel directorial, which has been struggling big time in North India and other regional box offices.

Interestingly, Rajinikanth’s action drama has now surpassed the lifetime collections of The Greatest Of All Time aka The GOAT, at the Kerala box office. The Thalapathy Vijay starrer is one of the most underperformed films of the actor-politician in the state, in recent times. The movie, directed by Venkat Prabhu, collected around Rs. 13.4 crore from the Kerala box office, within its lifetime run.

While considering the current box office performance of Vettaiyan, the movie has high chances to cross the Rs. 20 crore mark in the state, within its lifetime run. When it comes to the total box office collection, the TJ Gnanavel directorial is reportedly set to touch the Rs. 200 crore mark at the worldwide box office. It is indeed not a great box office figure for the Rajinikanth starrer, which is reportedly made with a massive budget of around Rs. 300 crore.
