Venom The Last dance Box Office Projection
While we enjoy a whole lot of DC Elseworlds at the moment, in the coming weeks we are about to witness a Marvel film from Sony’s Spider-Man Universe in October. Yes, we are indeed talking about Venom: The Last Dance aka Venom 3. The film, starring Tom Hardy in the lead, has become one of the most anticipated movies, thanks to the final trailer that teased a connection to the MCU’s Spider-Man 4. Now the audience is excited and pumped up to see how Sony is delivering Hardy’s last hurrah and what it means for the future of the SSU X MCU lineup. It turns out that even the box office projections for the movie are out, and they hint at a very positive opening.
For the uninitiated, Venom: The Last Dance is the last solo flick for Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock in the trilogy, which already includes the first Venom and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. According to reports about the opening box office projections for the film, it seems like The Last Dance is set to take the biggest opening of the franchise so far, beating the first two movies. Read on to know more about this exciting update of the day.
According to Box Office Pro Venom: The Last Dance is estimated to collect between $80 million and $120 million during its domestic opening weekend if current anticipation remains for roughly a month. Interestingly, this would be the highest in the trilogy, where the first film collected $80.20 million and Let There Be Carnage earned $90 million during their opening weekends.

However, the report also talks about the film’s lifetime collection. Venom released in 2018, earned $213.51 million, while Venom: Let There Be Carnage, released in 2021, earned $213.55 million in its domestic lifetime. Venom: The Last Dance is projected to earn between $250 million and $300 million in lifetime domestic gross. It's also worth noting that the second movie was released amid the pandemic, which suggests it could have earned even more under normal circumstances.
The scoop comes from Cryptic4KQual, who has revealed the runtime of Venom: The Last Dance. According to the scoop, the movie isn’t the longest installment at over two hours, as previous rumors suggested, but the second longest, with a runtime of 110 minutes (1 hour and 50 minutes). This places Venom 3 second in the trilogy when considering runtime. However, this has not been confirmed.
For clarity, Venom was 112 minutes (1 hour and 52 minutes), and Venom: Let There Be Carnage was 97 minutes (1 hour and 37 minutes). The Last Dance is just a couple of minutes shorter than the first film and 13 minutes longer than the second. However, once the studio opens advance bookings and promotions begin, the runtime will be confirmed, and we will know the exact details.
Venom: The Last Dance is set to hit the big screen on October 25, 2024. You can watch the previous Venom movies on SonyLIV with your OTTplay Premium subscription. Stay tuned for more information on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
