The filmmaker has Maanaadu awaiting release this year, while the actor's Idiot is hitting the screens later this month,
Venkat Prabhu, Vivekh and Shiva
Director Venkat Prabhu and actor Shiva have been friends from a long time. In fact, the duo has teamed up for many projects, including the long-delayed Party which is yet to see the light of the day. The former has Maanaadu with Silambarasan which is expected to release this year. He was last seen in a pivotal role in Kasada Tabara which was premiered on SonyLIV recently; the filmmaker is also one of the producers of the film.
Shiva, on the other hand, was seen in Amazon Prime Video's reality comedy series LOL Enga Siri Paappom which was dropped last week, in which he had shared screen space with the late legendary actor Vivekh. His last theatrical release was Thamizh Padam 2 (streaming on Amazon Prime Video), and his upcoming film, Idiot is slated for a theatrical release later this month.
Venkat took to social media to express happiness for his friend who got an opportunity to work with Vivekh for the first time in his career. The filmmaker also added that he slightly envies Shiva for the same as he never worked with the veteran actor who passed away earlier this year. Venkat posted a screen grab from the reality comedy series which had Vivekh and Shiva in it, and said he misses Vivekh.
Meanwhile, Sathish, who was one of the ten contestants in LOL Enga Siri Paappom too, remembered Vivekh through a tweet which he posted around the same time. The actor said that he is extremely grateful towards the love he has been receiving for his participation in the show and that he misses Vivekh. Sathish was one of the three contestants who were present in the show's final round. His performance in the show was appreciated by many, thanks to some of his hilarious punchlines, effective one-liners and his sincere attempts in completing the tasks assigned to him.
