Veerapandiyapuram trailer: Jai is a fiery hero facing off against ruthless thugs

The upcoming film, directed by Suseenthiran, was earlier titled Shiva Shivaa.

Filmmaker Suseenthiran’s latest silver screen venture, Veerapandiyapuram, had finally unveiled its trailer today. The film, which was earlier titled Shiva Shivaa, seems to definitely not fall short in terms of high octane action, as the trailer suggests.

The film’s trailer was unveiled today by Silambarasan on his official Twitter handle. It had been speculated that the star would launch the upcoming film’s teaser as well, but it had not happened and it was instead launched by Arya.

The trailer, almost two minutes long, is definitely not for the fainthearted, as it features some scenes of appalling violence at the very beginning. Then we get to see Jai being introduced as the lead character, Shiva, making a dashing entry. The trailer also features some light hearted and charming moments of Jai with his co-star Meenakshi, as the former is seen courting the latter, with paintings and a shower of flowers no less. Viewers also get to see Jai in action, as he single handedly faces off against a barrage of thugs.

The upcoming film, touted to be a tale of revenge, will also mark Jai’s debut as a music composer as well. The actor had earlier lent his vocals to a track from the soundtrack of his film Jarugandi (2018). In addition to Jai and Meenakshi, Veerapandiyapuram also features Sharath Lohitashwa, Jayaprakash, Kaali Venkat, Meenakshi Govindarajan and Balasaravanan.

The upcoming film is produced by S Aishwarya under the banner of Lendi Studio. The film has on R Velraj and Mu Kasi Vishwanathan as its cinematographer and editor respectively. The film’s dialogues have been penned by Bhaskar Sakthi and its stunt choreography is handled by Dinesh Kasi.
